Pastel de Nata
In the morning, the Portuguese visit the local 'pastelaria' and enjoy this Portuguese pastry with an espresso. For the Portuguese, this is the best start of a new day before going to work! 
Chicken Piri Piri 
The most eaten and most famous dish from Portugal. Restaurants "O Teodosios" and "Ramirez" in the chicken village of Guia are highly recommended. The chicken is served with fries and salad. Do not be afraid of dirty fingers!
Bacalhau – Cod
Bacalhau is the best known recipe for the Portuguese, who can make 365 different dishes with cod. This fish is offered in all kinds of variations on the menu, including dried cod
Cataplana de Marisco
The best of its kind. This pan is filled with fresh shellfish and shellfish is a must to order in a Portuguese restaurant. The dish is prepared in a special pan called the "Cataplana".

Vinho tinto – Red wine
The red wine is also delicious! Tips are: Herdade dos Grous, Herdade da Malhadinha Nova, Quinta da Alameda & Quinta da Gaivota.
Vinho verde - Green wine 
This, mostly sparkling, wine owes its name to the place of origin, the hills of Costa Verde in the north of Portugal. Tasty green wines are; Casal Garcia or Soalheiro.
